This musical was mainly chosen for the amazing hit songs such as Evil Woman, All Over the World and Strange Magic, all written by popular 80s band ELO.
The entire production ran for a total of ten shows over the course of two weeks, with opening night involving dinner and drinks held on the ground floor of the Clarence Wing at St Peter’s.
The planning of every musical production at St Peter’s begins with student auditions the previous year. Rehearsals commence shortly afterwards and are held during sport every Friday. As opening night draws closer, other rehearsals are also scheduled during every recess and lunch break.
An eight piece live band comprising Year 10 students supported the cast on stage with live performances of the entire musical score - no easy feat.
The cast and crew are to be commended for their commitment and professionalism throughout the entire production of Xanadu Jnr!
Keep an eye out for our next production in 2018.
