Fresh Heart! Fresh Hope! Ministry Symposium

You are invited to the Fresh Heart! Fresh Hope! Online Ministry Symposium, brought to you by Alive in the Spirit.

In this one-day online symposium, we explore best practices and pitfalls in our efforts to engage our communities, and key groups to effectively grow our mission in Jesus Christ.

Our scenario is a fictional parish, planning for 2022.
We will journey with its representatives through the experience of a live panel, consisting of:

  • Parish Priest
  • School Principal
  • Life, Marriage, Family Coordinator
  • Parent in the school
  • Pastoral Council Representative and Young Person.

Sign up for the online symposium and also receive access to our Catholic Ministry Resource and Community Hub until
31 December ($40 for individuals, $200 for 10 registrations). Register at
(The Symposium is FREE for existing members of Alive in the Spirit but you must still please register for this event).

We explore three key moments in the life cycle of the parish, with the panel guided by a facilitator drilling into:

Session 1: Let’s Dream Big!
Engaging with the community – both present and disconnected – in a new vision for 2022.

Session 2: Managing Change
Managing the tensions, roadblocks, and opportunities for healthy conflict and collaboration as the vision starts to come to life.

Session 3: Making it Happen
Determining how to align goals, resource actions, and keep people motivated, through safe and healthy processes.

After each panel session, small group sessions further develop ideas and approaches.

In our rapidly changing world, we are invited to consider new and innovative pathways. Fresh Heart! Fresh Hope! offers inspiration through a practical scenario, for getting going in 2022 with the Holy Spirit and your community for the sake of Christ’s mission!

Who's the Day for?

Lay and clergy, staff, leadership teams, finance teams, pastoral councils, pastoral ministers and volunteers, those in education, counselling, pastoral care, youth ministry, family ministry, aged care and chaplaincies and anyone who desires fresh heart and fresh hope as we head into 2022.
