Can you help CatholicCare make a difference this August?

CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning is seeing an increase in demand and needs your help to continue providing their vital services.

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the recent floods and rising cost of living, there is no doubt that thousands of people across the Hunter and Mid-Coast regions are struggling.

At CatholicCare, we do all we can to ensure no one is turned away and that everyone is welcomed with food, support, and a smile.

Our Food Programs have delivered more than 90,000 meals since 2014 but receive no government funding ro run these services – we rely on the community's generosity to keep serving those in need.

So, to help raise funds we’re launching our 2022 appeal: Make a difference. By donating, you can help us cook more meals, connect more people to services, build more Community Kitchen infrastructure, and support more people in the future.

CatholicCare Director Gary Christensen says your donation will go directly to helping the people who need it the most.

“Our programs make a real difference in our local community,” he said.

“Our teams on the ground are serving individuals and families who need a hot nutritious meal, and in many cases, have nowhere else to turn.

“For some of the people who visit our kitchens, the meal we provide is the only food they have for that day.

“Please consider giving a gift this August, every dollar counts in helping those who are doing it tough in our community.

“Your generosity will help us meet the demand and ensure no one goes without.”
