Taree Community Kitchen receives $500 donation

This morning the Taree Community Kitchen received a $500 donation from the Commonwealth Bank (CBA).

We are very grateful to have the support of the CBA as we continually challenge ourselves to enhance our service for the benefit of the People we support.

The donation will be put towards two new picnic tables we would like to purchase, which will give our diners the opportunity to enjoy their meals in the great outdoors.

The Taree Community Kitchen is a wonderful example of a true community response to help support vulnerable people in our town.

CatholicCare is very fortunate to have the collaboration of so many local businesses and private citizens who volunteer their time to sustain this valuable service to the Community.

Our service supports people who face a range of life’s challenges including financial hardship, homelessness, mental illness, disability and substance abuse.

The Taree Community Kitchen provides a safe space where people can feel accepted and respected – without judgement. The service also offers its diners the opportunity to feel socially connected to their community.
