New classroom spaces inaugurated at St Patrick’s Primary School, Lochinvar

Marking a milestone in its rejuvenation journey, St Patrick’s Primary School, Lochinvar officially opened its beautifully refurbished learning facilities this Tuesday.

Stage 3 students at St. Patrick’s Primary School, Lochinvar are enjoying some state-of-the-art classroom spaces for learning and growing. The inauguration of the building was graced by Maitland MP Jenny Aitchison, Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Bishop Michael Kennedy and CEO of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle Sean Scanlon, and marked a milestone in the rejuvenation journey the school has undergone in recent years.

The renovation involved transforming some existing spaces into flexible offices and learning areas, making the hall bigger to fit Out-Of-School Hours childcare, refurbishing the canteen, and adding covered walkways for convenience.

Sean Scanlon articulated the project’s core objective: "The intent of this project was to enrich the learning experience for students while maintaining the sense of community and wellbeing. We have delivered significant investment in our schools and as a result, we are investing in our future."
