Ending the Term with a virtual disco

After navigating a few difficult weeks at the end of Term 3, staff and students of St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School, Edgeworth put on their dancing shoes, let their hair down and danced their lockdown blues away.

Mr McCosker, Co Principal said “The disco was a way for us to come together even though we are apart. We wanted to thank the children and their families for the hard work they have put into remote learning and the resilience they have shown over this difficult lockdown period.”

Year 3 teacher, Mrs Reid, concurred, “The disco was great. Well, done. What a great way to finish the term, everyone enjoyed it”.

The disco was led by DJ Kit-Kat who ZOOMed in with the students over two sessions. DJ Kit-Kat played requests, encouraged participation through demonstration of dance moves and gave shout outs to the students on ZOOM.

We had a fancy dress theme and staff and students alike donned their finest dress-ups. The students of essential workers joined in at school. Many of these students mentioned they really enjoyed the disco and seeing their friends on the big screen.

If you are looking for a fun way to reward your children, DJ Kit-Kat is the way to go!
