St James Mission Day raises more than $1900

It was activities galore during St James Primary School, Muswellbrook’s Mission Day.

The day was used to raise funds for the work of Catholic Mission who are currently working to provide educational resources for children in the disadvantaged country of Myanmar.

Every class put on different activities and all the students had a blast. We had our famous cake walk held by our Kindergarten teachers and there was foxtail throwing, decorating biscuits and drinks by Stage 1.

A rocking disco, snow cones and balloon tennis was held by Stage 2, ice creams and digging for treasure by Year 5 and Year 6 engaged in a plethora of different activities that included painting nails, coloured hair spraying, spiders and many more.

Mini Vinnies also ran a gift shop with some beautiful gifts to order or buy.

The day was an amazing success day with $1936,25 raised.

The students had a fantastic day and our efforts paid off with a great donation to Catholic Mission.

The day could never have been such a success without the help of the amazing teachers and parents in our community.
