“Off you go then!”

So said Bishop Bill in farewelling – and most importantly blessing – 30 pilgrims heading to the Holy Land to “walk in the steps of Jesus”.

Vicar General Brian Mascord is chaplain to the group, comprising principals, teachers and members of the CSO leadership team.

Bishop Bill and Fr Brian concelebrated a Mass for pilgrims in Sacred Heart Cathedral on 21 September before the group boarded a coach heading to Sydney Airport.

Highlights of the pilgrimage will be sailing on the Sea of Galilee, experiencing the blessing of Cana, visiting the Garden of Gethsemane, walking the Via Dolorosa, viewing the Dead Sea Scrolls, seeing the Dome of the Rock and the Western Wall and visiting the Dead Sea (immersion optional!).
