Catholic Schools Week 2017 - Day 2

Day two of Catholic Schools Week 2017 kicked off around the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle on Monday with much excitement in our schools.

The morning saw both St Catherine’s Catholic College, Singleton and St James’ Primary School, Kotara South, open their gates to parents and grandparents to share in a liturgy followed by open classrooms and a picnic lunch.

Meanwhile, the Year 7 class of St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar, headed off-site to the hills of Pokolbin for their very first Community Day. The group spent the day getting to know each other through team building exercises, various games and a sausage sizzle.

Over at St Joseph’s Primary School, Merewether, the students welcomed parents for a liturgy followed by classroom activities and a get-to-know-you lunch.

Share in all the excitement in the gallery and video above.
