The Year in Review is designed to capture the key milestones and events of the year across parishes, chancery ministries, congregations, and agencies including Catholic schools, CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning, St Nicholas Early Education, the Catholic Development Fund and DARA: Development and Relief Agency.
You can read about the new development and relief agency of the Diocese - DARA, the community coming together for Lina’s Project, the Royal Commission and many other stories that capture the way the people of our diocesan community serve, worship and mission to others.
The Year in Review includes reports from Bishop Bill, Vicar General, Fr Brian Mascord; Chancellor and Canonical Advisor, Fr Matthew Muller; Vice Chancellor Pastoral Ministries, Teresa Brierley; Vice Chancellor Administration, Sean Scanlon; Director of Schools, Michael Slattery and Director of CatholicCare Social Services, Gary Christensen.
The stories and images included in the document are divided between the five foundations of the diocese – Identity and Community, Worship and Prayer, Formation and Education, Mission and Outreach and Leadership and Structure and are just a sample of the many ways the people of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle live their faith every day.
