TUESDAYS WITH TERESA: A Synodal Church in Mission
I thought for this week’s message I would focus on Part 1, particularly in relationship to our diocese, because our synodal journey is now more than 30 years old.
TUESDAYS WITH TERESA: Synodality, discernment and listening
This week we welcome the month of November, beginning with the Feast of All Saints, followed by the Feast of All Souls. This period invites us to think about our connection to the Communion of Saints, both living and dead. By God’s grace, we are daily in the presence of saints who care for us, who like the reading from Sunday’s Gospel (Matthew 22:34-40), “Love the Lord their God with all their heart, with all their soul, and with all their mind.” Followed by “Loving their neighbour as themselves.”
TUESDAYS WITH TERESA: Hearts on Fire
These are good questions for us to ponder, in this time of world violence and confusion.
TUESDAYS WITH TERESA: To Seek a Way Forward
Our songs, our stories, our paintings, our dances, our languages, must never be lost, no matter the tradition.
TUESDAYS WITH TERESA: Tending the Vineyards
As people of faith, we are asked to tend to God’s vineyard and to produce fruit that will last. This is a grave responsibility as fellow pilgrims.
TUESDAYS: Let us Dream
I love reading. Lately, however, I seem to have bought, borrowed, and downloaded more books than I can get around to. So, they have been piling up, waiting for me to pick one and settle in for a good read. Sometimes, it even feels like a particular book will call to me, at a particular moment, as if to say, ‘my time has come…’
TUESDAYS: Road Trip - Sharing our Stories
Earlier this year, I took a road trip with John Sandy from CatholicCare’s Refugee Hub. The lessons from that week transformed my understanding of how mission is lived within our communities.
