Fr Denis Edwards, a priest of the Archdiocese of Adelaide and on staff at Australian Catholic University, will be the keynote speaker. Fr Denis says, “In the light of evolutionary science, and because of the ecological crisis we face, I have been exploring a theology of the natural world and trying to ground it in the heart of Christian faith.”
Catholic Mission, in collaboration with the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, invites you to a dialogue on how to incorporate Pope Francis’ vision and challenge – exemplified in Laudato Si’ – into our everyday lives. This colloquium will assist participants to explore his vision, offering inspiration and practical ideas for caring for ‘our common home’ – in our work lives, in our parishes and in our communities.
The colloquium will be held at St James’ Primary School Hall, Vista Parade, Kotara South on Saturday 14 May, 9.30am – 4.30pm. The cost, which includes your copy of The Francis Effect II and a light lunch, is $20. To enquire or register, contact Diocesan Director of Catholic Mission, Mark Toohey.
