The Apostleship of the Sea (USA) supplies a Catholic priest-chaplain on every cruise with Holland America Line.
In Newcastle, the Apostleship of the Sea, with the Mission to Seafarers (Anglican), operates the Seafarers’ Centre on Hannell St, Wickham, ministering to the sailors from the many ships visiting the Port of Newcastle every year.
Fr Andrew Doohan and Fr Stephen preside at Mass for the seafarers, staff and volunteers at the Centre’s chapel at 5.30pm every Thursday. All are welcome.
