Celebrating World Teachers' Day

As we mark World Teachers' Day on Friday October 25, the Catholic Schools of Maitland-Newcastle would like to extend our deepest appreciation to our teachers who dedicate their lives to fostering knowledge, compassion, and growth in our students.

Teachers are the cornerstone of our community, tirelessly working to create engaging and supportive learning environments. They inspire curiosity, cultivate resilience, and provide the tools necessary for students to pursue their dreams. Today, and every day, we say thank you for their unwavering commitment and passion.

If you’d like to show your appreciation a teacher in your life, you can utilise the World Teachers' Day celebration kit, which includes resources like cards, selfie frames, gift tags, and baking accessories to make the day special for teachers.

On this World Teachers' Day, let us come together to celebrate the remarkable educators who guide, inspire, and nurture our students. Their efforts often extend beyond the classroom, making a difference in ways that cannot be measured. To all our teachers: we appreciate you, and we thank you.

To mark World Teachers' Day, Federal Education Minister, Hon Jason Clare MP sent a special message to the Teachers at St James' Primary School, Muswellbrook. Watch below!
