Enthusiasm swarmed at the 2nd Annual Diocesan Maths and Spelling Bee

The Southern Cross Hall set the scene for a wonderful morning of competition in the 2nd annual Diocesan Spelling Bee and Diocesan Maths Bee.

Students from across the Diocese competed for the right to call themselves the “best speller in the Diocese” and the “best mathematician in the Diocese”.

Mr Ashley Borg, convenor of the Diocesan Spelling Bee was amazed at the talent on display, “It was terrific to see students and their families gather again as a Diocesan community after the impacts of COVID, which took the Spelling Bee away from us over the past few years. Thirty-six schools were represented throughout the year and the students who made the final should be very proud of themselves for their efforts.”

The competition was extremely tough and all students did themselves, their families and their schools proud.
