There were liturgies, open classrooms, morning and afternoon teas and school tours hosted by a number of schools including St Columba’s Primary School, Adamstown, St Joseph’s Primary School, East Maitland, Rosary Park Catholic School, Branxton, St Francis Xavier’s Primary School, Belmont, St Paul’s Primary School, Gateshead and St Pius X Primary School, Windale.
SERVE
On Friday evening, students from Catholic schools in the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese received awards at the 2019 Bishop’s Catholic Youth Mass. The Bishop’s Awards were presented during a liturgy held at St John’s Chapel in Maitland and welcomed families of the recipients, the school community and clergy to enjoy the student achievements.

With more liturgies and open classrooms, students from St Kevin’s Primary School, Cardiff, Holy Cross Primary School, Glendale, St Peter’s Primary School, Stockton, St Patrick’s Primary School, Cessnock, St John the Baptist Primary School, Maitland, St Patrick’s Primary School, Lochinvar and St Paul’s Primary School, Rutherford also got the chance to spend some extra time with their families during afternoon picnic lunches and playing various games and sports.
