Fr Brian Mascord is Vicar General of the Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
There is a saying, “How time flies when you’re having fun.” I can’t say it’s all been fun, but 2017 has certainly flown.
Over the last four years many people have asked me, “What does a vicar general do”? The question probably should be, “What is the vicar general”?
Many Catholics would be unaware that there are three forms of the Roman Rite: the Ordinary form experienced in our parishes; the Extraordinary form which is the 1962 Mass in Latin and the form known as Divine Worship, approved in 2015.
