Job vacancy: care team workers

CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning is a registered NDIS provider and a facilitator of opportunity for people with a disability. We’re currently seeking passionate, caring and experienced team players to join our organisation as Care Team Workers.

These casual positions work within our innovative Therapeutic Care Model and provide holistic and person-centred care to the people we support.

If you share our belief that people with a disability have the same rights and responsibilities as all members of society, we’d love to hear from you.

What does the role of a Care Team Worker include?

CatholicCare supports the ethos of the NDIS, promoting choice and control for each of the people we support. As a Care Team Worker you will help them to develop their independent living skills at home and in the community.

You will be responsible for the provision of therapeutic care and support to people with disabilities (intellectual, physical and mental) who reside in CatholicCare’s purpose-built, community based supported accommodation homes. Day-to-day tasks include supporting people to dress, maintain hygiene, cook and clean.

You’ll also be in the privileged position of assisting the people we support to meet their hopes, dreams and aspirations as outlined in their person-centred plans.

To be successful in your application, you must address the following selection criteria:

  • Cert III in Community Services, Disabilities or Mental Health or willingness to obtain OR equivalent experience working with people with a disability or lived experience
  • An understanding and commitment to the principals of therapeutic care in a support accommodation environment
