Supporting charities in need

Each year, students from St Pius X High School, Adamstown, volunteer their time to the St Vincent de Paul Conference and reach out to help the most vulnerable people in our community.

Contributing to a wonderful cause, students donated upwards of 100 care packs to the Seafarers Mission, DARA van, and Orange Sky Laundry.

We began this several years ago and have continued our association.

The students work together to co-ordinate the collection of toiletries, non-perishable foods and goods and other necessities from the school community, and package them up with a special handwritten note for Christmas. This is always well received by those in need.

Many people are isolated from their families at this time of the year or missing loved ones, and a small carefully thought-out gift from the St Pius X students is always greatly appreciated.
