New Vinnies opens in Scone

After a five year search St Vincent de Paul has found the ideal location for its new shop in Scone - and now begins the hunt for volunteers to help run it.

The grand opening of the shop, located next door to the Post Office at 185 Kelly Street, was held on 14 January and attended by a large crowd of enthusiastic locals.

Vinnies is currently looking for female and male volunteers aged 16 years and over to assist at the new location.

So if you love fashion, antiques and collectables or if you would like to learn new skills, meet new people and donate some spare time then volunteering with Vinnies is the answer as it provides the opportunity to learn valuable skills whilst giving back to your community.

There are currently Vinnies shops in Singleton, Muswellbrook and Murrurundi, so the brand new Vinnies Scone will be a welcome addition in the Upper Hunter region and will offer good quality pre loved clothing, Manchester and household items.

Vinnies are also seeking good quality donations which can be dropped off at the Scone shop, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm and on Saturdays 10am to 2pm.

All funds raised at our Vinnies shops provide financial assistance to those experiencing disadvantage in the local community.
