Aaron will support new casual teachers and help them settle into their role.

As a seasoned educator in maths, STEM and science, Aaron is aware of the gravity of his responsibilities for the Diocese, particularly in the Upper Hunter and Manning areas.

Aaron will also focus on attracting and retaining high-quality casual staff.  

“Ultimately, my goal is to ensure their experiences are positive” he said.

“After the initial onboarding process, I make sure they are well-integrated within schools and our Catholic Schools network. I want them to know what opportunities are available right across our Diocese,” he said.

Aaron brings extensive experience in education, both nationally and internationally. Over the past 10-15 years, his teaching career has been deeply rooted in STEM and physics.

Having previously served as Administration Coordinator and the Assistant Principal at St Catherine’s Catholic College, Singleton, Aaron aspires to see the continual recruitment of casual staff.

He is also committed to assisting casual teachers, and where possible, transitioning them into permanent roles.

“During my tenure at St Catherine’s Catholic College, Singleton, I recognised the need for this role within the Diocese – a conduit between the CSO and schools – to fill positions,” he said.

Raised in Toronto and earning his degree at the University of Newcastle, Aaron embarked on his first teaching role in London after working casually within Department schools in the Newcastle area.

After a couple of years in London, Aaron returned to Australia settling for a time in Rockhampton.

He has since relocated to Singleton with his wife, Cherrie and two children, Aurora (14) and William (10).

When he’s not busy supporting staff, Aaron enjoys participating in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), rock climbing, anything technology and STEM related, and spending time out and about with his family.
