Patricia Kinsley awarded 2017 Monsignor Coolahan Award for School Support

‘If there’s anything you need to know, just ask Trish’ – and that’s why Patricia Kinsley from Holy Spirit Primary School, Kurri Kurri, has been awarded the 2017 Monsignor Coolahan Award for School Support.

The Monsignor Coolahan Awards recognise, affirm and celebrate the significant contribution made by the recipients to aspects of excellence in Catholic schooling in the diocese. Recipients are nominated by their peers and the awards highlight the service that is given to their respective communities.

During her time as secretary at Holy Spirit, Patricia has had a significant presence in school life - going beyond her job description to make sure everything always operates smoothly.

A warm and generous professional who prioritises service to students, families, staff and the parish, she is seen as the face of the school and a true example of what it means to live out the Gospel message.

Her sense of good will and commitment means she always attends to the needs of students. She has a wealth of historical and local knowledge that assists the school in participating effectively as a part of the wider Kurri Kurri community.

Patricia has also acted as a conduit between the school and local parish, concurrently holding the position of parish secretary while also being a member of the choir, a Minister of the Eucharist and being involved with the Sacramental Team.

A big congratulations to Patricia Kinsley!
