The Australian lawyer, academic, land rights activist and founder of the Cape York Institute for Policy and Leadership traveled to Newcastle to connect with us and deliver three powerful events.
On Sunday night the Diocese hosted An evening with Noel Pearson which allowed attendees to hear about his work, the importance of the Voice to Parliament Referendum and what it means for Australia. Noel was also part of a Q&A panel with Auntie Di Langham, Chaplain, Anglican Diocese of Newcastle and Auntie Louise Campbell, Education Officer – Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Education & Wellbeing at the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, where they addressed several questions surrounding The Voice.
On Monday, he then joined leaders and staff from Catholic Schools across the Lakes Region at Newcastle Exhibition and Convention Centre (NEX) for professional learning focused on Empowering through Education.
Today, he also spent time with senior students from St Francis Xavier's College at Hamilton.
