Triduum Take 3 – The Passion of the Lord will be the third workshop in the Triduum formation series the Diocesan Liturgy Council has been running since 2016. We began by exploring the Triduum as a whole, then in 2018 focused on the Easter Vigil, paying particular attention to the complexities of initiation.
The Triduum Take 3 – The Passion of the Lord workshop will take the form of a conversation engaging the wisdom and experience of participants in exploring the most significant issues and questions regarding Good Friday, such as:
These questions should get us started and we hope participants will add to the list.
As good liturgists, we will look to the Good Friday liturgy and any relevant documents for wisdom to inform our conversation. It is hoped that by the end of the morning participants will have reflected on their issues and questions and be ready to finalise their Good Friday liturgy.
As usual, all members of the community are welcome. However, this event is most suitable for clergy, liturgy teams, RCIA teams, liturgical ministers, RECs and Campus Ministry Coordinators.
The formation will take place on Saturday 23 February starting at 9.30AM and will run until 1PM in the Toohey Room at the Diocesan Offices in 841 Hunter Street, Newcastle West. Morning tea will be provided.
If you are interested in attending, please bring a copy of your 2018 Good Friday liturgy to ensure your questions are considered. To register your interest in attending, or if you would like this workshop to run in your region, please contact Sharon Murphy:
