The giant pirate ship and the partly-open roof design is the focus as you enter the Centre and the exterior and interior walls feature panels of rainbow colours suggesting a magical land. It’s impossible not be impressed by the Centre, especially when you consider that the site was once part of a supermarket.
The Centre has places for 84 children and is enrolling now. Centre Director, Diana, is excited to welcome families to the brand new ‘state of the art’ St Nick’s. Parents can book an appointment to tour the Centre by calling Diana on 4944 0750. A warning though, if you bring your kids with you, you will have a hard time leaving! The children already enrolled are enchanted by the wonderful light-filled airy spaces, the variety of play and learning opportunities and, of course, the wonderful team of dedicated and qualified educators.
St Nicholas at Cardiff is currently being considered in two categories for the Australian Institute of Architects’ National Architecture Awards – Educational Establishment and Interior Design. EJE Architecture and Terras Landscape Architects worked together with the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle to design this amazing facility that will provide quality care for babies and young children in the Lake Macquarie region. The architects have cleverly utilised natural elements, energy efficiency and recycled materials to create a unique environment that helps facilitate children’s optimal social, intellectual and physical development in partnership with parents and educators.
St Nicholas Early Education at Cardiff is the ideal place for your children’s early education. Their creativity and imagination will be encouraged and nurtured, they will be cared for by wonderful educators who will work in partnership with you and they will probably be a little annoyed when it is time to go home! You have to see it to believe it, so book an appointment today.
