On Shrove Tuesday, St Mark’s Anglican Church parishioners played host to the parishioners of St Thomas’ Aberdeen and St James’ Muswellbrook along with the parishioners of Spring Creek and St Alburn’s, Muswellbrook.
Close to 70 people joined in the ‘Burning of the Ashes’ Ceremony, led by Larry Keegan, held outside the parish hall of St Mark’s. Reverend Scott Dulley and Fr Anthony Nguyen led the liturgy. Following the liturgy, everyone moved inside to enjoy the delicious food prepared by the ladies of the district. The day was a success with $371.50 raised for the missions.
