Holy Spirit Feast Day of Saint Mary MacKillop

Holy Spirit Infants, Abermain has a strong connection to Mary MacKillop and the school’s vision and mission reflect the Josephite charism.

Courtney Porter September 16, 2020

The charism of the Josephite way of life belongs to all those who feel called to live the Gospel in a simple, inclusive, loving way after the example of Saint Mary MacKillop.

Mary MacKillop became Australia's first saint on 17 October 2010. To acknowledge our special connection with Mary MacKillop and the Josephite Sisters, our school celebrated her feast day with a liturgy.

After the liturgy, all students drew a portrait of Saint Mary MacKillop. One drawing from each class was selected and proudly displayed in the foyer.

Gathering together in prayer, love, and worship – it was a lovely day to celebrate the amazing woman that was Mary MacKillop.
