The day was attended by students from St Joseph’s High School, Aberdeen; St Pius X High School, Adamstown; St Paul’s Catholic College, Booragul; St Bede’s Catholic College, Chisolm; St Mary’s Catholic College, Gateshead; St Joseph’s College, Lochinvar; San Clemente High School, Mayfield; St Catherine’s Catholic College, Singleton; St Francis Xavier’s College, Hamilton; All Saints’ College, Maitland and St Clare’s High School, Taree.
Students were required to deliver both impromptu and prepared speeches, with students given five minutes to prepare their impromptu speeches.
