Hosted by All Saints’ College, Maitland, 150 students from eight of our diocesan schools converged to participate in specialist drama workshops with industry professionals.
Creative Arts teachers were also able to use the day as professional development, ensuring everyone was learning new skills to apply to their school lives.
Workshops that were offered on the day included:

Stage Combat with Scott Witt
Voice with Natasha McNamara
Characterisation with Ann Croger
Le Coq with Rachael Coopes
Physical Theatre with Angie Diaz.
Students and staff alike commented on how much fun the day was and how much they learnt from the workshops.
What was really inspiring was seeing everyone throw themselves into the activities and embrace some styles that were new to them.
It was also great to see students from different schools working together and making new connections.
Events like Dramafest allow creative students the opportunity to meet likeminded peers, develop new skills and have a massive amount of fun in a safe and non-judgemental environment.
ASPIRE is incredibly proud to be able to offer students such an enriching experience.
