St Columban’s Primary School, Mayfield

St Columban’s started their morning with a liturgy conducted by Richard Cootes, School Liaison Officer for Catholic Mission. Playing music for the students to sing and dance to, Richard also talked about the work of Catholic Mission to aid children in need overseas and how they can help.

The liturgy was followed by a tasty sausage sizzle before the colour run kicked off on the school playground.

The colourful day was used to raise money for two important causes – all money raised from the sausage sizzle was donated to Catholic Mission, with all other funds raised put towards improvements for the school playground and IT facilities for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).

The school raised $1,000 for Catholic Mission and $5000 for the school.

St John's Primary School, Lambton 

It was smiles all around as students from St John’s spent the afternoon at Lambton Park running around being sprayed with colour.

The school’s Run4Fun event provided students with a healthy and active approach to fundraising while at the same time providing the community with an opportunity to have fun and celebrate together. 

Money raised on the day will go towards assisting the school with the development of a creative play area and the purchase of laptops.

“A big thank you to the students and families of St John’s for participating in and supporting our school Run4Fun,” said Annie Duggan, Principal at St John’s.

“Thank you to the P&F for organising the event, especially Robyn for doing so much to make sure everything was great on the day.

“The school is very grateful for the ongoing support of our community, families and friends.”
