The gift of giving is alive and well at St Mary's Scone

In the lead up to Christmas it is nice to think of others in need.

Kim Wilson December 15, 2017

Last week, St Mary's Primary School, Scone, held its end of year school Mass where families of the school community generously donated many food items and toys to our local St Vincent de Paul Society to give to families in need during the Christmas period.

The staff of St Mary’s have forgone giving Christmas gifts to each other this year. Instead, we have donated items to two fantastic charities.

Together staff members filled 10 boxes of treats and supplies for our troops serving overseas this Christmas and 13 handbags full of personal hygiene items to give to homeless women.

We hope the gift of giving to others will certainly make their Christmas Day special this year.
