The tournament consisted of teams from all around the state and coincided with the current Women's World Cup tournament.
The U14's playing their first ever tournament were amazing and won the day as undefeated champions. Our 16's also had a successful day losing only one game to the current Sydney champions Ulladulla High School.
The students demonstrated great sportsmanship, ability, discipline and toughness against more developed and experienced school teams. They looked very professional in our new Indigenous designed jerseys designed by our own student and elite Rugby League player, Kendyll Fahey.
The event included access to the World Cup matches at Shark Park where the students had the opportunity to meet and talk to the Australian Jillaroos RL Team. The U16's girls even got to walk out the Australian Jillaroos team onto the field and sing the National anthem alongside the players before their official World Cup match verse Canada.
A huge thank you to the NRL for organising such an event, especially Huw Ellis, as well as our school coaches and teachers, Anne-Marie Shipman and Christine Pakalniskis for a long but rewarding day.
