The day began with Mass in the school chapel which was attended by students, parents, grandparents and members of the community. Mass included the presentation of the annual “We are Called” awards which were presented to one student from each class who has throughout the year consistently demonstrated qualities that reflect the school vision:

At St Aloysius Catholic Primary School, we are called to be the face of Christ through living, loving and learning together. We dare to empower all to wonder, hope, thrive and be proud witnesses of our faith.

Everyone was then invited to join in on peer support activities which included praying the Daily Examen and reflecting on different times in their lives that they have been called to help others in need, just as St Aloysius did.

The day ended with a sausage sizzle lunch for the students and visitors.

“We were lucky to be able to come together for our Feast Day with a beautiful Mass celebrated by Father Camillus, said Religious Education Coordinator, Stacey Whiting.

“The school guitar group and choir led the lively music which the whole school community embraced. This demonstrates the great spirit we have developed in only two and a half years. Gathering on our Feast Day as a school to celebrate the Eucharist is integral as we continue to build our faith community and traditions.”
