Director attends NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care Launch

Director of CatholicCare Social Services Hunter-Manning, Helga Smit, attended the NSW Child Safe Standards for Permanent Care launch at Parliament House this week, hosted by NSW Minister for Family and Community Services, The Hon. Brad Hazzard.

The launch saw the introduction of new reforms developed by the Office of the Children’s Guardian – aimed at reducing red tape and making it easier for children and young people in out of home care to find a permanent home.

With clear policies and practices - agencies throughout the sector will be required to conform to the new standards to provide out of home care and adoption services.
