Pastoral Placement Program begins

Seven young people have taken up the opportunity of a ‘traineeship’ in the work of the church.  This week these participants in the Pastoral Placement Program went out into ministries such a religious education, family services and port chaplaincy.

Each will spend a day a week for the next month in ministry at various locations around the diocese. They will also engage in local parish/church work for 4 hours a week. Throughout the year these enthusiastic young Christians will be formed through prayer and reflection as individuals and as a group.

Designed to be of mutual benefit, it is hoped that these experiences will bring new life and insight to the ministries as well as being formative for the participants.

We wish these young people well as they embark on this exciting year of training and formation for ministry.
