Early Education Centre now open in Chisholm, and Cardiff to open 19 February

The Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle is about to achieve a major milestone in its plans to open new early education centres under the St Nicholas Early Education banner in 2018.

The Chisholm Centre, adjoining St Aloysius in Chisholm, is now open!

The Cardiff centre, which adjoins our CatholicCare offices in Kelton Street Cardiff, will open its doors on Monday 19th February.

St Nicholas is planning to arrange tours of this brand new, state-of-the-art centre.

“Our aim with St Nicholas is to support families by establishing quality early education centres that nurture each child’s development whilst building confidence as they transition to school,” says Sean Scanlon, Vice Chancellor of Administration.

“With a history in education dating back over 100 years, we also create links to the local Catholic school system and nurture each individual so that they have a strong foundation before they take that next step in their learning.

“For parents who have a child or children at St Aloysius, enrolling a child at the Chisholm centre would mean they would be able to drop off and collect their children at one campus.

“The Cardiff centre in particular broadens the support that families might access through a connection to CatholicCare Social Services,” he adds.
