When my baby, when my baby smiles at me I go to Rio...

In the Learning Lions Preschool Room at St Nicholas Early Education, Singleton, the educators and children have Rio Olympic Fever!

Rio Olympics paintingThe children in the preschool room have been using their interactive flat panel screen to watch and learn about all the different sports in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Each afternoon we sit down at 2.30pm and watch highlights from the day before. The children have been loving it!

The children have experienced their own Olympic torch relay out in the playground with their own personally created Olympic torches.

We have been investigating all aspects of the Olympics including the Olympic Rings and we have been extending gross motor skills by actually participating in sports associated with the Olympics. The children were exhausted after  we had our very own baton relay outside. Our Olympic project  has provided the children with opportunities to gain knowledge of other countries, cultures and a sense of belonging.
