A group from the Wallsend Mosque including Sheik Mohamed Khamis enjoyed the hospitality of the Parish and over tea, coffee and an abundance of food, great conversation was had.
Interfaith dialogue is important to Catholic and Muslim leaders in Newcastle, with previous events of an interfaith panel in June this year and the Wallsend Mosque Open Day, bringing these communities together.
Teresa Brierley, in closing the event, said ‘We can make the dream of our God happen here. We will keep coming together and praying together for as long as it takes to build community’.
