Saving Fantasyland at St Patrick’s Swansea

When students from St Patrick’s Primary School, Swansea look back on their favourite memories of 2019, many of them will nominate the school’s recent musical production – ‘Quest: A New Hero in Fantasyland’.

The musical provided a wonderful opportunity for the students to showcase their talents as actors, dancers and singers.

The story followed Brandon T. Mann, the ultimate cool, contemporary hero who is shadowed and adored by his companion, Brandon L. (“little”) Mann.

Once upon a time, the Magic Mirror gave him an urgent message. Brandon T. Mann must save Fantasyland from the evil Orica, who has threatened to destroy all of the best-loved fairy tale characters including Snow White, The Three Little Pigs, The Three Blind Mice, Little Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

Together, both Brandon’s go on a quest to collect certain coloured objects from various fairy tales to form a rainbow, which will save Fantasyland.

Sincere thanks to Trish Aumuller, the school’s talented music teacher, director, musical director and choreographer, who helped bring the production together.
