KINDY STARTERS 2018: MERRIWA

On Thursday 1 February, St Joseph's Primary School, Merriwa, were pleased to welcome 12 new additions to Kindergarten.

Students and their families were welcomed with introductions and a prayer of blessing at assembly as they began their exciting journey of learning and growth at St Joseph's.

Infants teachers Sally Hagley and Jessica Feeney expressed their enthusiasm as the Kindergarten students joined the Infants classroom to participate in a variety of activities and learning experiences focusing on literacy and numeracy skills.

The Kindergarten students were all smiles as they were accompanied by their Stage 3 buddies on their first day.

Principal Helen Whale said, "The students have been very well prepared for today and are ready and eager to start learning. It was wonderful to have so many parents and grandparents join us for morning tea, building on our school-home partnership."
