St Joseph's fundraising pyjama party

On Tuesday 30 May, the students of St Joseph’s Primary School, Dungog, donned their pyjamas to raise funds for the St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal.

The day began with a liturgy welcoming parents and grandparents to the school and was followed by a sausage sizzle lunch and movie for the students.

“There was much excitement in the playground and classrooms with the novelty of wearing pyjamas to school,” said REC Mrs Kranias.

“I had to go and buy more lollies and popcorn throughout the day as we kept selling out so quickly.”

Principal Michael Maloney was pleased at the results of the day, announcing to all that the day had been a very successful fundraiser.

“For a school of under 100 students to raise over $550 in one day is an extraordinary effort and the generosity of our local community was once again outstanding,” Mr Maloney said.

All funds raised will go directly to the St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal.
