Thousands of Year 12 students, including those from Catholic secondary schools in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, are today waking up to learn of their 2015 HSC results.

The Catholic Schools Office congratulates all students who sat their HSC which is a milestone achievement.

Director of Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, Ray Collins, said, “It’s always a pleasure to hear that for many of our Catholic school students, the culmination of hard work and dedication to 13 years of schooling has been outstanding HSC results.

“I am particularly thrilled to congratulate two students who, this year, have been announced as ‘First in Course’ recipients, meaning they topped the HSC in one of their subjects.”

Congratulations to Leela Sagar from All Saints College, St Mary’s Campus, Maitland, who topped the state in the Hospitality Examination.

Congratulations also to Nikola Groves from St Francis Xavier’s College, Hamilton, who came first in Community and Family Studies.

Mr Collins said, “I hope all students are satisfied with their results and I thank them for the contribution they have made to our school communities. Our prayers and support will be with them as they determine their future pathways.
