In the lead up to Book Week we had author Tony Harris of Wombat Stories drop into the Library and share his entertaining tips and tricks about reading and writing with the students. He also spoke about his inspirations and how he uses our beautiful wildlife to write his stories.
Then throughout the term students participated in lots of quizzes and completion that involved lots of technology tools such as QR codes.
To finish up the term students gleefully wore their concert costumes to school the following day to celebrate Book Week by sharing their favourite books (some to do with the Ocean) with their peers. The older students embrace the idea of sharing their love of books with younger children by having a variety of quizzes, guessing and counting games all designed to encourage the love for reading.
