4th Annual Saint Joseph's Denman Paper Plane Classic

An overcast Denman afternoon welcomed one and all to the 4th Annual Saint Joseph's Denman Paper Plane Classic.

The competitors started the afternoon with a whole school Liturgy where we thanked God for our Dads. The competitors continued their long warm up with some carb loading of scones and slices.

Then they were ready for their races. This year we welcomed back Captain Piggott to fly SJD Air and she did a fantastic job guiding and crew and being on the loudspeaker for important flight advice.

Each stage and their dads or pops competed in their race. Some competitors failed miserably out of the gates, others excelled in the blustery conditions. Some competitors' planes shot out of the blocks like a rocket and were subject to a steward's inquiry, however all planes passed inspection.

Overall a great day was had by all and we wish all our Dads a Happy Father's Day!

The winners are:

  • Kindergarten - Olive Cushan & Aaron Edward
  • Year 1/2 - Callie Hagan & Kieran Falvey
  • Year 3 - Liam Redmond & Steve Bottomley
