St John Baptist Mary Vianney (1786-1859) is the Patron Saint of Priests and was canonised in 1928. He was born in Dardily and died in Ars, France. He was ordained a priest in 1815 after beginning his studies for priesthood at 19. His feast day is celebrated on August 4th.
The Mass was followed by workshops with Andrew in the school hall. The Australian is known in many schools across our country as well as New Zealand, USA and Canada. His songs include “These Hands”, “This Day”, “Let Your Light Shine” and many more including numerous CDS, DVDs, and picture books.
After the workshops the school community invited parents and friends to join together to enjoy the concert. As you can see from the beaming smiles in the photos, the students of St John Vianney's thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they participated in the workshops and concert.
