Success for student on The Great Australian Spelling Bee

Congratulations to local Catholic Primary School student Josie who last night appeared on the very first live show of ‘The Great Australian Spelling Bee’ and progressed through to the next round.

Josie, who’s in Year 4, auditioned against children from right across Australia for a place on the live TV show. After a successful round on last night’s show, Josie progressed through to the next round which now means that she’s in the top 26!

Josie said, “Sitting for the auditions, I had no idea what I was in for.”

One of Josie's teachers, Jacqui, said the whole school is excited for Josie.

This is an incredible achievement and we are all very proud and excited.

“We wait now to see how she progresses through the competition.”
