Initiative and compassion for those less fortunate

William White-Murphy, a student of San Clemente High School Mayfield has a part time job making bagels.

After the terrible earthquake, destruction and loss of life in Nepal, William decided he would like to raise money to donate towards this worthy cause.

He decided to use his skills and bake bagels to raise money for the devastated country. William made the mixture at home before boiling and baking the bagels at school. William's selection included plain, chutney, poppy seed and cinnamon sugar bagels.

William’s baking was a great success and he quickly ran out of bagels, with many staff and students wanting more.

Congratulations to William on his baking skills, but more importantly on his generosity and willingness to help others in need.
