Early February sees a number of families start their Catholic school journey with a host of new Kindergarten students arriving. CSO staff visited St Joseph's Primary School, Charlestown to welcome their newest students.

The first day of school can be an exciting and nervous time for students and parents alike. With an emphasis on pastoral care, the arrival of new students highlights the way Catholic schools educate "for today and tomorrow", which is the theme of this year's Catholic Schools Week.

The photos below are a selection from St Joseph's Primary School, CharlestownSt Joseph's is committed to ensuring every child is given the opportunity to achieve their very best within the classroom. The teaching staff works closely with parents to ensure individual needs can be met. The partnership between home and school is promoted and valued at the school as teachers see parents as the first educators.

We wish students and parents good luck on the start of this great journey!
