Elizabeth “Lizy” Melville is a former student of St Francis Xavier College, Hamilton. Lizy completed her HSC in 2014, and this year, has been employed by the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle in the Pastoral Placement Program.
Last week, from Wednesday 26 - Friday 28 August, the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle sent participants in the 2015 Pastoral Placement Program to Sydney to visit the National Office of Caritas Australia, the Catholic Church’s agency for aid and international development.
The following is a reflection from Melissa Fenech, one of the Supervisors in the Pastoral Placement Program, who had the privilege of participating in this experience.
