Family And Community Services (FACS) is offering High School Scholarships to help students enrolled in education or training to complete their studies. Successful applicants will receive $1,000 to help with school expenses.
Chair of Catholic Social Services Australia (CSSA), Dr Maria Harries AM, has announced the appointment of Fr Frank Brennan sj AO as Chief Executive Officer of the peak national body for social services in Australia. CSSA represents a national network of 53 Catholic social service providers.
NAIDOC Week is being celebrated 3-10 July. Originally, ‘National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee’, NAIDOC has evolved into an annual, week-long celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
